The Vocation Promotion team of the Province of Spain came up with the idea of bringing the conversion of Ignatius of Loyola to young people as part of the Ignatian year #Ignatius500. "The first project was to create three scenarios of the three key moments of Ignatius' conversion (Pamplona, Loyola and Manresa)," explains Fonfo Alonso, SJ, coordinator of the team. To achieve this, it was necessary to enlist the help of Luis Gómez Garzón, a young man with a keen interest in Playmobil models, the famous toy brand. Luis also designed the stickers and other accessories that would help the composition of the scenery.

They have yet published three chapters on the conversion of Ignatius in Pamplona, Loyola and Manresa. A work that has been made possible with the help of a dozen people (between production, voice-over and editing). The videos are made using the stop motion technique: a technique that consists of animating the characters frame by frame.

These videos are mainly intended for primary school children, "although it's also nice for adults", explains Fonfo. The idea is that they can be used as a way of bringing Ignatian spirituality and the life of Ignatius of Loyola closer to children. In that sense, it is also a way of bringing the vocation closer to the children "everything that has the transmission of faith and bringing models that inspire is good, it can and should be done". Furthermore, he considers that "sometimes we underestimate the intuitions and dreams of children" and he believes that these dreams have their weight. In the end, the Jesuit concludes, "it's about unleashing processes. The children don't have to decide anything, but it is the task of Vocation Promotion to propose models for living the faith in a concrete way. Also as a Jesuit".
