“Responding to the call of the universal apostolic preferences necessitates that we strive more than ever for the intellectual depth that our foundational charism and tradition demand.”
Ongoing reflection and the guidance of people in formation are an important area for Jesuits and their co-workers in Europe. All over the Conference, Jesuits are involved in universities and institutions of higher education. In particular, there are Jesuit Faculties of Philosophy and Theology where people - young Jesuits along with others preparing for priesthood, religious and lay people - are offered an academic and pastoral formation.
In many countries “cultural reviews” are published dealing with religious, cultural, social, political and artistic issues.
A number of European networks link partners in Mission and Jesuits working in these fields.
