Seven young people from the MAGIS club visited the Pabradė refugee centre, about 50 km east of Vilnius, on 16 October. The aim of the visit was to be together with refugees and to do leisure activities together. The quiz organised by the MAGIS young people and also the joint sports were very enthusiastically received by the migrants, because during the day there are no other activities for the adults and currently only children are taught and can learn Lithuanian. The MAGIS young people also helped distribute meals and were moved by the fact that personal contacts help overcome cultural and language differences.

There are currently about 4,000 illegal refugees in Lithuania who have crossed the border illegally from Belarus. In Pabradė - one of several refugee centres in Lithuania - about 800 people are currently accommodated.
