A Jesuit workshop that took place between 3rd and 7th September.

About 25 Jesuits from Romania, Italy, Austria and Belgium who are currently working in Romania met together for the first meeting of its kind since the establishment of the Euro-Mediterranean Province. The Provincial, Fr Gianfranco Matarazzo and the Delegate for Romania, Fr Michael Bugeja were present. During the various sessions there were profound presentations on the history of the faith of the Church in Romania – with special emphasis being made on the evidence and contributions of the Jesuits – an analysis of the socio-cultural context, ethnicity, religion and social needs. Dr Sandro Rossi, a Maltese lay person, animated the meeting. The aim of these presentations was to understand the present context as well as the challenges that the Society faces, in the light of the priorities highlighted in the Province's apostolic plan and the Church as a whole, with a renewed style in terms of creativity, generosity and availability towards caring for the immediate needs ".
