Learning about the life of Saint Ignatius through Virtual Reality is now possible thanks to an escape room that, on the occasion of the Ignatian Year, has been set up at the University of Deusto (Bilbao, Spain). With Virtual Reality glasses, this space introduces us fully into the Chapel of the Conversion, the room where 500 years ago Ignatius of Loyola struggled between life and death.
To 'escape from the room', different challenges must be solved. An immersive experience that will help to approach the place where Ignatius had his convalescent and transforming experience that made him a God-seeking pilgrim. The rector José María Guibert and the vice-rector for University Community and Agenda 2030, Juanjo Etxeberria, inaugurated this morning this innovative initiative.
From that moment on, it will be possible to participate on different days on both the Bilbao and Donostia campuses. The experience will also be open so that anyone who has the Oculus Quest 2 Virtual Reality glasses can download it and try it out, or even solve the escape room in a web version here:
