Theatre in the Vienna Jesuit Church.

On the occasion of the anniversary of the abolition of the Jesuit reductions in Latin America 1767 the community theatre group “gruppo mobile” performed the play “Das Heilige Experiment” by Fritz Hochwälder. The Jesuit Church in Vienna was packed on October 7th 2016 when the play took place. The play about the destruction of the Indian reservation in Paraguay by the Spanish conquistadors deals with the always relevant question of power and justice. “Impressing how the theatre group brought to mind the moral dilemma of the Jesuits of that time”, said one of the spectators.
