Father Antuan Ilgit took his Final Vows in the Church of St Thérèse of Lisieux in Ankara. The Mass was presided over by the Apostolic Nuncio in Turkey, Mgr Marek Solczyński, and Fr Antuan pronounced his solemn vows into the hands of Fr Franck Janin, President of the Conference of European Provincials, who was making his visit to the Ankara community. The vow formula was translated into Turkish for the first time, so Fr Antuan was the first Turkish Jesuit to pronounce the formula in his mother tongue.
