The Revista Portuguesa de Filosofia has just launched a new issue: Management and Philosophy. This book brings together seventeen texts in which it is deepened: first, the intersection between management and philosophy; second, the various dimensions of the debate on unconditional basic income in the light of its legitimacy, applicability and effectiveness.

As the organizers explain in the introductory note, paraphrasing Griseri "Some have taken the methods of academic philosophy - close attention to the use of terminology, tight arguments in which no statement is immune from questioning - and applied these directly to ordinary phenomena, outside of a theoretical context. Such philosophizing of everyday life captures an important element of the original practice of the ancients, that this is meant to be an activity that integrates into people's day-to-day living, not a remote practice only carried out by a cadre of specialized experts. "

Being organized by Fr. Álvaro Balsas, SJ, professor of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences of the Catholic University of Braga and Prof. Jose Bento da Silva of the University of Warwick, the work counts on the participation of several authors such as Mikel Larreina (University of Deusto), Carlos Ballesteros García (Universidad Pontificia de Comillas), José Luis Fernández Fernández (Universidad Pontificia Comillas), Roberto Merrill (Universidade dp Minho  Minho), Nuno Ornelas Martins (Universidade Católica - Business School), Shohei Edamura (Kanazawa Seiryo University)  among others.

The index can be consulted online.
