More than 20 MAG+S summer experiments in Spain were an opportunity for 350 young people to improve their holidays to open up to other realities and to share transformative experiences. The fields of work were Spiritual Exercises, pilgrimages... we share experiences of three of them.

The RECORDAR (remember) experiment aims to return to the essentials. It is aimed at young people living a moment of decision and professional discernment and life. The experiment was born 6 years ago. In this 6th edition 21 young people participated during 10 days in Raimat (Lleida) in this experiment with 2 parts. The first days of theological formation, trying to relate the formation with the own story of faith. And a second part with personalized Spiritual Exercises. One of the most important aspects of these days is the accompaniment.

The APERTAS 2018 experiment consists of working for pilgrims arriving in Santiago de Compostela at the end of the Camino de Santiago. All those who participated felt very grateful for the experiment they lived and shared. This year all volunteers were housed in the Jesuit community, sharing daily life with the three Jesuits living in Santiago.

There were 4 turns of university students, different in number, age and mission. They welcomed more than 2000 pilgrims: Mag+s Camino de Santiago, groups of Boston College, more than 12 Jesuit schools and institutions and from female religious Ignatian Congregations, individual pilgrims... A small group of Jesuits and some candidates guided this experiment for another year. The experience also includes a collaboration with the Pilgrim Office of Santiago and in the Economic Kitchen of the Daughters of Charity.

Finally, the MAG+S Pilgrimage to the Holy Land was an opportunity to meet. It is organized in collaboration with Italian Jesuits and a moment to mix with a group of young Italians. They spent the first days looking for a common language, sharing culture, food and prayers together, which opened a precious space and prepared them in a deep way for the cultural encounters that awaited us in the Holy Land. They also had a meeting with climate: the desert of the old testament and the opportunity to meet the life of Jesus and his disciples visiting the holy places. And also an encounter with the current situation of Israel, the Palestinian people and the Holy Land.
