The Ignatian Spirituality site of the province of Spain starts with new training courses and with some challenges.

The site offers every year online Exercises to more than 100 people thanks to the 50 virtual companions: Jesuits, religious, diocesan priests and laypeople.

People pray every day at home and once a week they meet online with the companions. The texts are online. Fr Cristóbal Jiménez Ariza SJ, director, points out 3 important challenges: to grow in the number of companions that help, capable to attend all the requests; to reach other groups of people such as inmates in prisons, and to internationalise the project. The provinces of Italy and Vietnam are very interested in this project.

Finally, he is convinced that it is necessary for the church to be on the Internet. He considers that the digital world is a key frontier and the Society of Jesus wants to be present there.

The interview in 4 short videos (in Spanish) are to find here.
