Welcome to the New Testament

Nicholas King SJ has published his latest book entitled ‘Pictures of the Early Church’, as an introduction to each of the 27 documents that make up the New Testament. Born out of 36 video talks recorded in the US with Now You Know Media in 2015, it’s been published by Kevin Mayhew, who already released a number of King’s books, translations and audio.

King realised “The title reflects my discovery that what we have in the 27 books that compose the library which we call, misleadingly, the ’New Testament’ is a series of pictures of those early communities at various stages of their development, and that paying careful attention to the text highlights some fascinating features of that development”.
