Loyola Andalucia University and the Three Cultures Foundation held their first activity together in the Pavilion of Morocco (Seville, the Foundation headquarters), with the conference 'The spirituality of the Three Cultures' by María Toscano Liria, professor of philosophy and specialist in spirituality and Sufi mysticism.
This conference was part of the presentation of the Master in Transcultural Spirituality, a degree of Ramón Llull University, in collaboration with the Loyola Andalucia University, Deusto University, CITES-Mystic University of Ávila and Sant Joan de Déu Nursing School.
It is a two years course with both scientific research and different proposals of spirituality, highlighting the mystic experiences.
According to his deputy director, Fr Carlos Domínguez SJ, the idea is to generate a dialogue between the sciences centered on human person (phenomenology, evolutionary anthropology, neurobiology, contemporary psychoanalysis, etc.) social sciences, economics, and different spiritual ways. It is also intended to explore the forms of presence of religion and spirituality in the public life of our societies.
The master deals with aspects such as spirituality, religions and contemporary societies, mystical experience, pathologies of spiritual experience, contributions of spirituality to public life or techniques of meditation.
