Jesuit Inmaculada School in Alicante presented in March its new pedagogical model in the general innovation project “VEIN21UNO”. This new model is running now on children and Primary education and will be implemented in the other courses. The main objective of VEIN21UNO is to meet the needing of the students in the XXI century. Many Jesuit schools are working in this innovation.
The Project has involved all the members of the educational Community: parents, students, teachers and staff.
The main idea of “VEIN21UNO” is that the student is a real actor, fostering his learning by discovery with technological tools. Books will be replaced by websites where the project will show its development and parents and children will check the progress.
The classical classrooms have been replaced by wider spaces to foster teamworking. “The learning-by-discovery improves motivation and development of skills for learning to learn” says Pablo Miñano, Project coordinator.
These are some of the basics of the new pedagogical and educational model. This model will change the school but preserving the Ignatian spirit of forming people for others.
