New General Postulator of the Society of Jesus.

Father General has appointed Fr. Pascual Cebollada Silvestre (ESP), General Postulator of the Society, replacing Fr. Anton Witwer (ASR). Fr. Cebollada Silvestre was born 1960, entered the Society in 1978 and was ordained in 1989. After obtaining a degree in Philosophy and Theology from the Pontifical University Comillas in Madrid, he defended his doctoral thesis in Theology at the Centre Sèvres in Paris in 1993. Professor from that same year at the University Institute of Spirituality of the Faculty of Theology of the Pontifical University Comillas of Madrid, he taught, among others, courses in Theory and Practice of the Spiritual Exercises, Spiritual Discernment, and Spiritual Theology. He is currently Director of the Department of Moral Theology and Praxis of Christian Life, Member of the editorial board of the Manresa magazine on spirituality and Director of the journal, CONFER, of the Spanish Conference of Religious.
