Refreshing the Ignatian vocation for young health professionals.

Salamanca, february  17-19 - More Than Health gave its participants the opportunity to go beyond considering the patient's health at their workplace. How? By inviting them to keep their eyes open and hence, transforming the daily tasks at the hospital, the Faculty of Medicine, in health care into an experience to meet God and people.

In its second edition, the meeting took place in Salamanca and was split in two parts: 1. to listen and share and 2. to reflect, pray and see God in all things.

The first led the participants to reflect on health care through experiences. The second part guided them to renew their health vocation, often marked and scarred by the hospital reality, bureaucracy or defensive medicine. There was also a time for silence – in the Ignatian sense of the term –  to reconnect with the vocation.

This experience was made possible thanks to the work and support of many people and institutions, including the Jesuit parish Miracle of San José, the Spirituality Centre of Salamanca, the Magis Pastoral Office and the Loyola Communication Group.
