The feast of St Ignatius of Loyola falls at the end of July and it presents us with the special opportunity to celebrate the founder of the Society of Jesus, whose inspirational journey of conversion, spiritual awakening and contributions to the Church have left an indelible mark.
Saint Ignatius’s transformation began with a severe injury during the battle of Pamplona in 1521. During his long recovery, he experienced a deep conversion that came from reflecting on the life of Jesus and the Saints. His life highlights the transformative power of change which invites us to reflect on our own spiritual journeys and to seek even greater depth and purpose in our relationship with God and with others.
To mark this feast, we share with you a film about the Ignatian Way which describes the Way in its many facets, from the spiritual to the landscape and the gastronomic. The movie is from 2022, but it has just been made available for public access.
