In the province of Spain, various Faith and Culture centers are hosting conferences and talks on the Synod, to which other works are also devoting space and training. Thus, the Loyola Communication Group, aware of the transcendence of the synodal process to which the Church has been called, has contributed through various publications to ecclesial reflection and to the deepening of this journey initiated by Pope Francis. Thus, Marta García, professor of Sacred Scripture at Comillas Pontifical University. In her book Sinodalidad y profetismo. En camino de ser y hacer Iglesia speaks of a Church in which we are all living stones that participate in its edification, a community that is revitalised thanks to the active collaboration of its members. Julio Martínez SJ, Professor of Moral Theology and Rector of Comillas Pontifical University from 2012-2021, in his latest book for Sal Terrae Teología moral en salida. Deshacer nudos y afrontar retos, he addresses the crossroads and challenges facing Catholic moral theology in the context of the postmodern and technological era. And Juan Antonio Guerrero SJ, director of the Spirituality Centre of Salamanca and Provincial of Spain of the Society of Jesus from 2008-2014, shares the method for Spiritual Conversation, discernment and synodality.
For its part, the new 2023-2024 course of the San Ignacio Spirituality Center at Salamanca (CES) offers new proposals among which a specific formation in common discernment oriented towards synodality stands out. This new proposal responds to the recommendation of the Instrumentum laboris of the XVI general assembly of the Synod of Bishops n. 42. With it the center wants to join the Church in a year of special importance in the formation for discernment and the living of synodality. The DC 4x4 Course consists of four sessions over the course of the year (Information at: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).
