#BEMAGIS- the motto that resonates today with thousands of young Ignatian men and women.

Few experiences stir the heart so intensely. The joy of WYD sometimes overflows the eyes in the form of tears and makes the soul vibrate, that which is imperceptible, and now becomes visible to the eyes through the encounter.

The Spanish youth group MAG+S led the WYD together with many other Ignatian youth groups. The proximity to the Portuguese country led to a large gathering of the reality that we live in our MAG+S Network.

Where have you seen God these days?, we asked many of them. The answers are wonderful: in speaking different languages but the same spiritual language, in the embrace, in the smile, in the listening, in the service, in the celebration... And what a celebration it was! The Eucharist at which the whole Spanish Ignatian family gathered on 2 August in the Church of the Incarnation will remain in our memory. The Spirit breathed through the voice of that diverse choir that united their voices, spreading their joy to all those present. How fortunate to be able to be together with the EDUCSI schools and the congregations of our Network. What days to feel loved and grateful!

The Ignatian family of Portugal was fully involved in welcoming the Ignatian groups to the Largo da Misericórdia during these days. It has been a necessary and fruitful experience of global encounter for young people, which opens horizons and helps us to break frontiers.

When we were already feeling tired, the arrival of Pope Francis on 3 August renewed us with a profound energy, telling us: "Friends, I would like to be clear with you, who are allergic to falsehood and empty words: in the Church, there is room for everyone. For everyone. In the Church, no one is superfluous. No one is superfluous. There is room for everyone. Just as we are. All of us. And Jesus makes that clear. When he sends the apostles to call for the banquet of the man who had prepared it, he says, "Go and bring everyone," young and old, healthy, sick, righteous and sinners. Everyone, everyone, everyone! There is room for everyone in the Church".

During the morning of 5 August, the Ignatian family began to go on pilgrimage, all together, to Campo da Graça, where the Vigil was held, a very special night where we could literally feel what it means to go out in the open and pitch our tent. In the morning, the sending out Mass celebrated by the Holy Father brought World Youth Day 2023 to an end.

There is no better way to feel what it meant to these young people than to listen to them. This video that we now share with you wants to spread the strong heartbeat that this experience has meant for all of us.
