It was perhaps the first time that so many Ignatian women had met together. That is why this meeting was described as an "event" and an "encounter", provoked by the co-publication of a book, whose work "has brought us closer together and opened up horizons, increased our identity, awakening new dreams, in the possibilities of encountering others, incarnating the Ignatian charism as women, in feminine form". This is how Nurya Martínez Gayol ACI began the presentation of the book Mujeres Ignacianas. Essential Writings (Loyola Communication Group and Comillas). Co-edited by Miyako Namikawa, RSCJ, José García de Castro and Nuria herself, the book was presented at the Madrid motherhouse of the Religious of Mary Immaculate this month.
It is a book supported by 20 women's religious congregations of Ignatian spirituality (of the 248 that have existed) and the presentation was very grateful for the journey, the process, the result and the future, which will surely lead to collaborations open to other groups of Ignatian women.
