For Father's Day, which in Lithuania coincided with Pentecost on 5 June, the Šiauliai Jesuit School organised a bike ride with the fathers and children. Other school communities also took part, 186 cyclists in total.

The participants of the morning march - children with their parents - left Šiauliai in the courtyard of the Ignatius Loyola Church, accompanied by music and police officers of the Romuva Jazz Orchestra.

An important accent was the erection of a cross in thanksgiving for the gift of fatherhood on the Hill of Crosses. Before that, a service was celebrated together with the Jesuits Artūras Sederevičius and Stasys Kazėnas.

The trip lasted about five hours and, according to the principal of the Jesuit school, it took place without haste, without tension. "It simply came to our notice then. It's an absolute child's time with their family," she said.
