March 16th was a remarkable day for the Jesuit Conference of European Provincials (JCEP). For the first time, the staff from the works of the JCEP in Brussels gathered in-person.

In 2020, there was the first attempt for this initiative, but due to the Covid-19 regulations the event was online. This time, 25 people including Jesuits and employed staff of the European Jesuit Works in Brussels (JCEP, Jesuit Refugee Service – Europe, Jesuit European Social Centre, Chapel for Europe and Teachers of Religion in the European Schools) met at the Chapel for Europe.

The program included a presentation on the life of Saint Ignatius and a reflection both individually and in groups on how his legacy can inspire us in our work.

This event was an extraordinary opportunity to foster cooperation between the institutions, to get to know the new faces and see again the known faces of the works of the JCEP. It was also an opportunity for many to discover the Chapel for Europe. We are grateful for everyone’s participation and for the hosting.  We look forward to meeting again soon.
